First : Avoid Text Speak in this forum

Second : For the IOF .30-06, try Bobby Siddhu of Peerless Firearms in Patiala :

Hello guys,

There is talk that the new lot of the IOF 30-06s has some changes, namely, change of bolt face design from three lug type to a winchester 70 style extractor type. Secondly the reciever tops are coming drilled and tapped to accept Weaver style bases. Can anyone confirm this? Could any owners post pics of close ups of the action and bolt as well as the reciever tops? One example I saw at a dealer had a somewhat better stock than the earlier blond pine wood. Definitely not walnut, must have been teak or shishum.

Katana
why not check out the rifle section for all that info, as much as any one has its been posted. so why persist in make people mad?

or if not happy why not contact the IOF direct and share the info?

Dear Nagarifle,

Please understand that this is a gentlemanly forum to exchange views. Either you moderate your languange, especially the part of making 'people mad' or refrain from making comments at all. I'm thinking of purchasing this particular rifle and therefore am asking people's opinion before actually purchasing it. As for getting information out of IOF, you know the drill. Members here would be more practical.

They have changed the profile of the bolt lugs. Also the new ones are coming with proper walnut stocks.Incidentally the dealer price has gone down by about 5,000/-

Winnie,

I thought so. Am being offered this 'improved' version for 95K. Was wondering if I should buy it. The so-called 'imports' in .30-06 have ridiculous prices!
