No problem, my elder brother and business partner are both life members of NRAI, so is my uncle. I can get three of them to buy one each.

Then there are at least another 10 to 12 life members of NRAI who are my friends in patna.
But thanks for the offer.

baracho-no worry, mauser waffenfabrik beats IOFB by a country mile! so prices will hold.If the 315 iof had been such a quality platform, prices would have crashed long ago...I wonder if the wicked lil 315 can be used in a mauser action, NOT MADE BY IOFB, as a brush gun??

Expected price of the IOF 30-06 is inbetween INR 75,000 to 90,000.

Obviously in the initial stages it will command a premium to the tune of another RS. 50,000 till the market is settled.

Premium will be more due to the fact that an old imported 30-06 changes hands for Rs. 250,000 or more these days.

The action is of far superior quality.
It can be scoped

If the blueing / stock varnish is awful, it can be improved upon.

So there is hope.

" ...wonder if the wicked lil 315 can be used in a mauser action,...Yes, in the Siamese Mauser action, it's tailor-made for that cartridge. If in the original Siamese cartridge, it would just take a rechambering. A regular M98 made for rimless cartridges requires major magazine and feed-lip work. If you were to find an M98 sporter made for a rimmed cartridge, such as the .303, you certainly would not want to alter a priceless collector's rifle. Another candidate would be a P-14; or the Russian Mosin-Nagant. Though the latter has absolutely nothing to recommend it over the Lee-Enfield; except action strength. Cheers.
