What NOT TO teach children!!!

Post by roh_mitra » Mon Apr 23, 2012 4:41 pm

I came across to these videos on youtube & the first thing i thought was to post them in the forum..

The kids sure knows their father's gun well but lacks the education of proper gun handling they are firing the weapons in open in air on their terrace which seems to be in middle of populated area. In the first video one can see a person in the terrace of nearby building busy in his daily cores not knowing the gun demo being recorded here. There is a very good probability of some one coming on his terrace hearing the gun shots & be the victim of the projectiles from the spent bullets.

This is for a sure that this not what we @ IFG would be teaching our younger generation to do...

Very bad and dangerous practice.
The owner of the rifle should know not just the *illegality* of the act, but also the dangers to the kid, rifle-owner and importantly to other poor souls who might get hurt.

in the first video the kid ha his finger on the trigger before aiming, secondly the projectiles could have hurt someone as the shots from the revolver were shot horizontally,if it was the father who was filming this video,i think he is a really insane person,an if not then he has no responsibility as to keep the weapons away from the kid s.Its just because of these stupid acts the common citizen has to suffer.

i don't think it's really bad to teach your kids how to handling the firearms but teach them proper way is very improtent. This is nothing but lack of knowledge about firearms, i think his father need more education before he give his firearms to the kids.

If you watch really good in second video where his son shooting a rev. he cock the hammer back and keep his finger on the trigger , now think for a second if some one acorss the street on the roof or terrace they can hurt really bad.

Reminds me of fancy dress competitions in Kindergarten where the kid is pretty well rehearsed by mommy and daddy as to what to tell like in the video "my name is so and so,I am firing so and so,made by so and so in so and so",the kid firstly says this is the most powerful ammo in the world 'err.. excuse me that is a 0.22 round you are talking about not a .50 BMG".

Now what the hell was the position in which the kid fired the 0.22 rifle I don't think thats how one holds the rifle. The kid was lucky it was a 0.22 had it been a .30-06 the video would conclude with the kid missing an arm.

I am also not in the favor of firing projectiles in the sky in residential areas because you are not in control of the projectile even if shot in the air.If the father could have taken then to some barren land where the could have put up a target that would have been better but sigh....

It is amazing how loons get licenses here and then ending shooting themselves while playing with the gun in a party.cleaning the gun etc etc.
You haven't lived until you have been close to death, for those who fight life has a different flavor that the protected will never know.

@kartik it's fine teaching your offspring to be self reliant.
But at the cost of neighbors life?!

He could have gone to a shooting range or even in a farm or a green belt.

Even concrete can cause ricochet!!!

Thats extremely dangerous!!!
And one above mentioned, the lil one aint handling it properly. This video is a mere show off of common sense!
So, where is 'teaching' factor coming?

See the post 'Cover Girl' by xl_target. He defines how children should be taught.

I agree! In a country where law abiding citizens are rejected, this idiot gets one.

We are on the same boat then!
Parents in India should teach their children.

Cover girl is an example. The best example you'll find at IFG.

I thought it was compulsory for everyone to go through a Civil Arms Training and obtain a certificate as proof of having learnt how to safely use a fire arm before obtaining an arms license.

This is a proof as to how Training is conducted in our country. Very irresponsible!
