Dear members,

As most of you are aware, at the moment, we are fighting to preserve our already meagre gun rights. While the efforts to keep them goes on, we must take special care about not to provide any opportunity that can portray us,the responsible legal gun owners, shooting sports enthusiasts and supporters of gun rights, in negative light. I am not suggesting that we impose on ourselves any sort of self-censorship, the worst form of threat to right to freedom of thought and expression.But,exercise discretion and judgement about whether what we post would cast legal gun owners in negative light. Please,continue to post as enthusiastically as possible and let them know that we form the better segment of the society.Thank you.

Dear Vikram: From the age of 18 years, I have done nothing but what you are proposing above.

To all our younger and less experienced members:

As responsible firearms owners and good citizens we must try to hold our standards of behaviour and conduct over and above that of any one else. Please do not misconstrue this to be an elitist attitude.

I have a five year old son and am soon expecting another, at a minimum, I cannot afford to behave in such a manner as would set a bad example to the next generation of shooters .

I do not have to re-iterate that anything irresponsible a licensee says or does, will not only bring a bad name to all other licensees, but also may be used as an excuse by the anti-gun lobby/establishment to further restrict our freedoms. Please understand that the "opposition" may try to instigate us by accusations, untruths or simple lack of logic. This sort of baiting should be recognized and "defused" immediately in any conversation.

Hi All!
