Dharamshala, Jan 2012

Post by varunik » Wed May 30, 2012 1:51 am

Here are a few pics I would like to share from my trip to Dharamshala.

Me, my sister and 2 cousins stayed at cousin's place who was project head of the much appreciated HPCA stadium in Dharamshala.

So many times, it happens too fast
You trade your passion for glory
Don't lose your grip on the dreams of the past
You must fight just to keep them alive

It's the eye of the tiger
It's the thrill of the fight
Risin' up to the challenge
Of our rival
And the last known survivor
Stalks his prey in the night
And he's watching us all with the
Eye of the tiger

Nice photos,
Things have changed since I was there in the 1970's

I remember Dharamsala!! Years ago, we went with a YHA group there. (I think the base camp we lived in was a YHA building too). We trekked to McLeodganj and than on to Triund. Looking at these pics tho, it looks like a totally different place.

Cheers,
Amit

Martyrs Memorial called a War memorials by local citizen. At present you want to visit there than you have to by a ticket, But few years ago you can visit there frequently without pay any paney. All the war heros name are mentioned their on a wall. I went there several times.Nice place.

Triund are situated at the hight of 9325feet. This hight are mentioned on the board which are situated near the Forest Deptt Rest House. I went there in 1980,1983,1985,1987and 1990. At that time rare of people reached their.
