For those thinking of buying one, bought a new IHP 35 .22 on Saturday from Hassanand Hemandas & Company at Crawford market in Mumbai. Price paid was Rs. 7000/- with a packet of Diana shot pellets for free. Also repaired my He-man mark 1 air pistol (had it since I was a kid) for 300 bucks (spring, washer, servicing).

IHP 35 .22 was out of stock at Aimco so had to go through this route. Hassanand wouldn't budge on the price and said that this is lowest I would get it in Maharashtra since he's the dealer. Although, over the phone I was told price was Rs. 5800+ taxes and octroi.

Anyways, shooting again after 10-15 years, was fun plinking on Sunday evening at our usual hangout by the hill. Also, this forum was very helpful during my search for finding the right air gun and where to buy it from. So many thanks to all the contributing members. :)

Price of an air gun at Garg Armoury (P) Ltd, Delhi is as follows:

IHP 35 (.22) Rs. 5523 + VAT @ 5% (276.15) = Rs. 5800/- NET

Packet of Air Slugs .22 Mastershot (Pointed/Round Head) Cardboard packets Rs.150/- each (price is including Taxes)

All IHP air rifles are sold with a cash memo and they mention the serial number of the air rifle on the cash memo itself.

For any querries u can call them at 23868596.

We tested around 4 types of .22 pellets with tuned IHP .22 air rifle but there is very much variation in velocity for same types of pellets

For 14.3gr Master Shot Round Heads Max FPS was 751 that is 18 ft-lbs but only once we get this reading other time the velocity was varying from 450 to 560 FPS

For gsmith 19 gr pellets max FPS was 345 that is 5 ft-lbs very poor
We use the pellet seater but no improvement in FPS & consistency in velocity
If there is so much variation in velocity it will definitely effect in the accuracy
That means IHP .22 works good with lightweight pellets

But with my .177 IHP without tuning I am getting good consistency in velocity

Final conclusion by use was IHP .177 barrel is better the .22

I just want opinion of our gurus

Thanks

Got my IHP 35. It was very smooth process buying from Aimco. Got it delivered on 10th sept (1day earlier). It was nicely packed in wooden box covered with Plastic bag. Inside it was nicely packed in shockproof manner using waste paper cuttings. The gun was nicely packed in company box. Got 1packet of double head Master shot free of cost with my gun :)
It was giving some friction sound while cocking the gun. Aimco replied that it was of spring and I can use it without worry. So I am practicing with it and my UTA 35 both. IHP is undoubtedly more accurate but power wise both are looking same at 10M. I have to check both the quns on long range.

I will soon post the pictures of my Guns and my first target practice results with it.

:D
