My own AR

I was growing impatient yesterday as the courier tracking showed me that the shipment was out for delivery. Well, there was a knock at my office door and yeah there came my Precihole NX-100.

Unwrapped at home, the packing was a tough one from Aimco with a wooden crate and all the papers stuffed inside. They had even thrown a pack of 100 pellets as a compliment.

To be honest, the rifle looks very serious and means business, not to forget the fact that this is my first ever air gun.

More of it once I set up my targets and start shooting

Congrats ibalajis, the AR looks great.
The first picture looked to me like a black one, after seeing your statement "The build of the rifle is excellent and it is the brown one that I have bought." I looked at the snap again and could make out its brown.
I hope its the wood finish that they call it.

One sheet of cardboard behind the target sheet is not enough. You will soon have some seriously ugly holes in the wall.

In fact, I had ordered a pellet trap, but with my growing impatience, prepared a cardboard box, with stacks of paper filled and supported by several layers of thick cloth against the wall

Hi,

Not a "senior" but can give you few pointers:
1. Try to get your hands on precipells, The rifle shoots best with them.

2. The DIY pellet stop may look sufficient but if you look at the box on the right, most shots are above the target paper and towards the top edge of the box. There is a good chance the pellets will come out through the top edge of the box on the back side as the paper/cloth stuffing inside will be at the thinnest here and on the sides.

3. Lastly, when shooting at home in tight spaces, doubly make sure to follow all safety rules and make other members present at home aware of your activity and keep them well outside the area you are using.

Enjoy your new possession to the fullest and do keep updating us

Another query from my side... What are the essential maintenance items (kit, rod, wads, oil etc) for my AR that I should have?

You might need some oil just to keep the surface of the action and barrel oiled for rust protection. To be honest, I have put little over 1000 pellets (5 tins) through my rifle and have not felt the need for any kind of maintenance. It shoots just as well as it did.
