Any experience with: Pankaj Kapoor: www.airsoftgunindia.com

Post by ThinkingMonkey » Wed Mar 04, 2015 3:16 am

Hi All,

This is Nithin From Bangalore.

I am new to air guns. This will be my 2nd one. The first one I have is a pistol (look for the attached pic).

Looking to buy Cybergun Sig Sauer X-Five P226 CO2 BB Gun (for its authenticity as a replica, weight, I can dismantle the gun etc.)

Looking to buy from this guy: Pankaj Kapoor http://www.airsoftgunindia.com/. As no one else has it here. But he has not listed it on the site. I called him on the number provided on the site. And he send me details and pictures on whatsapp. BTW, he is quoting 40k(a $150 max in the U.S) for it! and asking for a bank transfer!

Has anyone bought it from Pankaj Kapoor:http://www.airsoftgunindia.com/
a] If yes, can he be trusted?
b] Isn't 40k too high a price?

TIA,
Nithin

Since the item you want is a .177 airgun, i don't think anybody else other than this PK sells it in the open. He ain't a full fraud but more of a fleece.

If u like the Beretta Px4 storm .177 CO2 blowback by Umarex, you can have it for much much less. It can take lead balls & pellets in its rifled bore.

If airsoft is also in your interest, the options just got too many.

I would rather invest in a license for sports category and buy a .22 sports rifle than spend 40k over a toy

That 'I' matters a lot. Funny thing is, it varies from person to person.

OP is looking for a .177/4.5mm airpistol. That's a restricted air arm, not a toy. The 6mm types come under toy. Price definitely is homicidal though.

Completely agree with your point, but is it that easy as we say?
There are a lot of hurdles to cross to reach there, rite?
We need to be a renowned shot with proven credentials at state level or above if my knowledge is correct.

I think these kind of restrictions are one of the reasons for having such fleece come to business and take his customers for a ride...
Same applies to firearms as well, the good guys who go through the proper channel will get only IOF stuffs that too at rates that does not equate to the quality or performance and the imported stuffs are available at exorbitant rates, but the bad guys get hold of the ultra modern gun models that the world has seen...

Moving up the ladder a little by little. I have other interests to which I put serious time into. So, I need to know that I am really serious about shooting before I get into the hassles of paper work, putting time into the practice etc.

And obviously I do not want to spend 40k on this if I can manage a rifle club membership and the pistol within the 40k.

Actually the ladders are separate. AS & AG caters to highly distinct interest groups. One can never do battlefield simulation(which never happens in India btw) with an AG.

Pls check your PM.

I agree WRT battlefield simulation.

I am not able to PM/reply back. So I have sent you a mail to the email-id you had mentioned.

No, you do not need a license to keep one. You need a license to import one. With duty the price should be around 10K-12k INR

friends this pankaj kapoor is charging thrice or more. i am astonished for prices he offered. i would rather prefer to have a real pistol with licence rather than expending money for this .
