i kept huricaine mod 16 cocked for 24 hours intentionally to reduce recoil & vibration but it did not work . this is good rifle with solid punch but you have to modify stock for easy handeling .i wrap the pistol grip & stock with spongy material using black eletrical stiking tape for better grip & add about 200gm used pallets as weight in hallow butt to balance the rifle weight .now it is well balanced & easy to handle.

After i bought my precihole vx 100, i had to go out of station for a while. When i came back and tried to use it, it was already cocked. My father said that some of his friends had come and maybe one of them had left it cocked. There was no way of telling how long it had remained that way.. but it was definitely around 24 hrs. But thankfully there was no effect on the spring.
It was sheer good luck and will never dare try that again. But maybe springs aren't that fragile after all.
