The cheapest option would be to buy regular 2.5" (65mm) ammo - KF paper cartridges for example and get yourself a reloading kit - there are a few floating around from the old days when hunters would routinely reload their own ammo. Reloading of cartridges for one's own use is completely LEGAL.

Now, open up the cartridges carefully empty out the contents, trim the case length appropriately and reload the trimmed case with suitably reduced powder and shot. You should be able to find reloading data for 2" cartridges from the net, if not buy a book on reloading from Amazon...

And while reloading - do remember SAFETY FIRST!

Cheers!

Your Tolly has a 2 Inch chamber ? What is the barrel lenght ?

2 inch cartridges are still manufactured ( No. 6 shot only of 1 Oz load) by Eley, Hull and Kent in paper cases.

I don't think any fresh cartridges would be available in India, hardly any 2 1/2 inch or even 2 3/4 ammo from a reputed maker is sold here for 6, 4 or 3 shot. All one can find is 7 1/2, 9 or 9 1/2 routed out of shooting clubs in 7/8 Oz loads.

Isn't it odd that we are talking of a 2 inch chamber sub 6 lb class Tolly here !

A Tolly Gun is a generic classification for those big 8 Bore doubles and SBBL Duck guns of the yesterera.

If you were to go Duck hunting in the early part of last century, assumption on being appropriately armed would be packing a Tolly 8 Bore.

How many can effectively handle an 8 Bore double weighing over 20 lb is another issue !
