KUDOS TO MUMBAI HC RULING ON RKBA!

Post by brihacharan » Mon Apr 21, 2014 11:22 am

Hi ALL,
> Please see the attached... A positive step (Ruling) by the Mumbai High Court which appeared in the "Times of India" today's Mumbai edition.

Excerpt:
" The Judges remarked that asking a person to surrender his / her firearm that's meant for protection "Conflicts with Safety". There has to be a balance. A person who wants to commit crime must wait for the "Elections" ...added Justice Patil sarcastically.

I think the MHA should make a radical and logical change in the eligibility criteria of a applicant for the post of a Sub Inspector. LLB Degree with two years of practical experience as a lawyer. After all if he is a protector of law shouldn't he be qualified and experienced as one...

Before the court could rise for the day, Chitnis complained that despite the stay order, the police had been to Chandak's hotel to collect it. The judges asked the prosecutor to inform the officer concerned immediately about the stay.

Add to it the judgement of Justice Yadav of Allahabad High Court. His Judgement says RKBA is a fundamental right.

What if you don't own a farmhouse and several hotels? Are the gareeb log not targetted by criminals?
Cheers!
