Hi,

I have tried contacting the RAAP in hyderabad both through email and phone but I couldnt get any response.

So can someone, who has contacted them, let me know when and how to join in the training sessions and how much would it cost and other formalities that we need to complete?

Regards,
Deepthi

Deepthi,

Welcome aboard. We have quite a few members from your city. I am sure they will be glad to help. Look for and start with 10 meter air rifle classes.

You should have enrolled for the summer camp at the SAAP range at Gachibowli. I am sure regular members will give you some pointers if you visit the range on weekends.

I am from Hyderabad, I would like to apply for member ship in Rifle Association of Andhra Pradesh but I am in USA right now, so is it possible to apply from here.

I have been to the SAAP range in HCD few years back, I think it is very good range. If some one has or will be there recently can u plz tell if there is air and co2 facility for co2 or pcp gun cylinders if so can non members use it.

Peacekeeper,

It is a government range (SAAP) but being maintained by the RAAP. They have the PCP filling cylinders for the competition air pistols and air rifles. I am not very sure that range administrator who is appointed by the SAAP authority will let you use this facility. The moment they see a new face, they ask a million questions.

The best thing to do would be to go along with RAAP member.

And no they dont have the Co2 facility as far as I am aware.

Cheers

Ashar

visited the range few day ago, the person who are sitting there was very friendly and really asked a lot of questions. Seems like he is really knows his job, I would ask even more questions perhaps. That is a shooting range not a Gymkhana club after all. I showed him my credentials and he kindly granted permission for my wife to use the range. I'm in love with Hyderabad for sure. :D
