What caliber is that break action single barrel Vikram?

I would surely not use one if I ever went big game hunting. No matter how good I were with my shot placement.
They must be using it for smaller game.

IFIRC, it was chambered for the 7X57R rimmed cartridge. In the countries I mentioned it is typically for deer sized game. And sometimes wild boar.You do get larger chambering like the 9.3x74 for those big boars. The 9.3X62/74 has taken countless cape buffaloes and elephants. But, it is typical to Teutonic countries as I mentioned.You will see little of it elsewhere. I am not saying that there aren't other countries where single shot rifles are used. I am talking about Kipplauf style of rifles only. :cheers:

Excellent treat man, i was lost while reading it in office, only when a Jr called over my shoulder i got out of it :), What lovely country side and what collection of weapons.
