Any step forward ? HSC exams are done with and SSC exams are on the way to wrap up - but then there's the school finals to reckon with. :-(

Definitely looking forward to it after school exams are over.......

Right now its all work and no play at our end for both dad and his lad..........

As an example of overcoming adversity, Karoly Takacs has few peers. He was part of Hungary’s world champion pistol-shooting team in 1938, when an army grenade exploded, crippling his right hand. Ten years later, having taught himself to shoot with his left, he won two gold medals in the rapid-fire class.

I can more than relate to the "dad and lad" syndrome. Apart from that also have "lass and my ass" syndrome affliction. ;-) Getting free on April 11th and then REALLY FREE on April 24th. Hooossssh!

I would very much like to be there.
Dying to meet other "psychopaths" with knives & guns. That's what people call me when they see my 2.5 inch Chinese folder attached to my key-chain before they ask to borrow it to cut something :D

Hi!

I propose the meeting to be on Sunday the 29th of April, preferably in the afternoon, around CST/Churchgate.

Regards

Bro, it's not a "meeting" per se - more like a MEET. :-) Can't really shoot guns, even airguns in Churchgate or CST area; unless you want Mumbai's khaki punching holes through you. :-)

Typically, seniors like FF, NK etc. organize day long "events" where you would get the AG of your choice and shoot at paper or steel (silhouttes) targets to your desire, interact with others, and have an eyeful of what IFGians have. While the one organized by FF & Rohan at Japs was more of an airgun affair the Pune (Balewadi) one by NK saw more firearms. The region is mostly Mumbai-Pune. We have IFGians visiting us from Gujrath too. And of course food is arranged for a nominal. So let us stay tuned.

Hello,

The MEET then needs to take place at a rifle club. I wonder if the rifle clubs in the region would allow a non member to participate.

This would be my first experience(!). Looking forward to attend.

Hi MaheshMB,

> C'est non Possible - In French it means - It is not possible :D
> No Rifle Club can accomodate the number of participants such events bring together.
> The last meet at "Japaloupe" in Lonavala had over 40 participants!!!
> Imagine 40 people coming in with 80 ARs (most guys bring atleast 2 ARs with them) - you need huge space
to accomodate them.
> Japaloupe is a 30 acre farmland with lots of space to move about - after the shooting / competition there will be bublies & frothies + a buffet + lots of fun & laughter
> NO AR CLUB CAN HANDLE THIS - NO WAY :)
