Issues in the transfer of pistol

Postby Nirvan » Fri Feb 05, 2010 7:58 pm

I recently bought a Pistol from a friend in Delhi . He was issued a licence in a District in Tamil Nadu with the registration number of that district , Subsequently he was transferred to another district in Tamil Nadu and he was given another registration number . Again He has been transferred to Delhi . I bought his pistol when he came down to my State , the officials in Collectors office is not ready to enter the said details in my licence , the reason being that his present address is not entered in the Licence .
Please help me , I am so irritated with this people .

cant blame the 'babu' with his CYA and pass the buck mentality.get your seller to get a proper add endorsed on his licence, get it notarised if necessary , then apply.
''It dont mean a thing, if it aint got that zing!''

My biggest fear is; when I die, my wife will sell my guns for what I told them it cost me!

I have some questions for you to understand this better
Where were you issued your licence? (State\District
Where did you purchase the weapon?
The districts where the seller got it endorsed.
The present address of the seller.

Where did you get your licence from.
If it is TN getting it endorsed will not be a problem.
