Chandan,

This is the second opportunity I am going to miss, as I would be landing back in Delhi on Saturday at 11pm.
Also I understand that DSRA is giving annual membership to non-residents (Gurgaon Resident) also, hence I plan to take it up if possible because it is cheaper and I am seriously low on funds right now.

Hello,

How about Sunday?
No one else seems interested anyways.. I'm open to either day.

Chandan,

Sunday if fine with me maybe my daughter will also come. Does DSRA supply .32 cartridges as well as I would love to try out your pistol.

Hello,

Nope.. they do supply .32 wadcutters, but I don't think they fit into the Ashani.
I have 15 cartridges with me, of which I was planning to fire 10 to check the pistol. You're welcome to fire half...

You can also use your .22 revolver, since the LR cartridges are the same.

And sure, bring your daughter along. I'll probably bring my son and try to get him to fire a few.

Chandan,

I don't see any reason for wadcutters not fitting in the Ashani. Anyway, if I was reaching back on time on Saturday I would have picked up some from the market, but I am landing at 11pm. It is very kind of you to offer me cartridges out of the limited stock allowed to us in India.
And off course I will have the revolver with me and I also have a huge stock of ammo also to go with it.

Hi Kamleshwar,

Been a long time since we spoke about your 30.06 magazine issue. Why don't you also join us on the range this Sunday.

Regards

AAdhaulya,

The .32 provided at the range and used for target pistols are .32 S&W (used in our IOF revolvers) while the IOF pistol is .32ACP. Both are different dimensions altogether.

ADS,

It would be great to meet you there. Will you be riding on your 'Triumph' :D .
And thanks for clearing the issue of cartridges, as till now I believed that the cartridges came in only two designs for hand guns i.e. one for pistols and the other one for revolvers.

Also I will replace Kamleshwar's cartridges that we use on the range, with 12 bore and .22 cartridges, because as for as I know he is a 'Long Gun Fan' and has a DBBL 12 bore and two rifles.

Regards

Atul

Pretty hot for an afternoon ride on a Triumph, Atul. But if Chandan or you want to ride it, happy to bring it.

Please don't bring it as now I am not very confident about handling a bike. In fact the 'Bullet' I wish to own, I would request the dealer to deliver at my residence. Then I would get back the feel of it after a few trips to the market on weekends.
Thanks for the offer I will take it up after a few months.

Gentlemen,

Finally the first shootout happened last Sunday.. just two long-suffering, persevering guys.. me and SS ended up reaching the range. Atul was struck by the antishooting virus, which put him down in bed with fever.

So off we went in SS' scorpio.. setting the mood with a rifle, a pistol and a revolver, and hoping to fire away to glory.

Despite all the hurdles and looks, we ended up getting 50 rounds of .22 and 20 rounds of .32. Spent an hour at the 50m range, with 45 shots in the black out of the 50 fired. Then enjoyed my .32 pistol and SS's revolver at the 25m range, but just about 40 odd rounds. Satisfactory yet unfulfilling.

With news about more restrictions to the range membership and issues with using IOF weapons there.. it seems this is going to be a shortlived affair.

Still, lets make hay while the sun is shining.. so when do we want to do this again??

A great afternoon, thanks to you Chandan. Fired all the IOF products made for civilians except for the 3006 in a matter of 2 hours!

Some pictures?

You guys had real fun.. Except for the 12th June I can come any afternoon with my little .22 revolver and the 30.06 if we can shoot it off there.
