Mr. Airgun,

When you were questioned, how did you prove to them that it was a replica or an air soft gun for that matter?

Hi,
is that a all metal gun or a plastic replica?
Is it still possible to import full metal .177 replicas in baggage without club memberships ?

just a FYI

To import a blank gun, one requires to have a licence as it is a prohibited item, unlike toy guns. The trader also requires to obtain a transit licence to transport it to Ludhiana besides a separate licence to sell it. Sources said the seizure and subsequent arrest of three people happened after officials of the directorate general of vigilance inspected the cargo complex following information that the consignment has been lying for over a month. The vigilance department is also probing the role of officials, sources said. A special investigation and intelligence branch began a probe and arrested the importer, his manager and the customs house agent. They have been remanded in custody till June 30.

I dont see the relevance... As the thread is about airsoft and not blank guns... 'apple and orange' my friend... [emoji848][emoji847] but it was still helpful...

Wonder why this got asked on an airsoft thread which got nothing to do with anything that would accept or spits out any kind of metal projectile. Airsoft only use 6/8mm plastic projectiles. Whole story.

GoldenEagle wrote:Hello guys,

I have placed an order for an air soft pistol from Airsoftgi.com,U.S.A.

My friend who who owns a gun license is planning to bring it to India with him.

I would like to know if anybody has faced any problems while carrying it along with yourself from some other country.

As far as I know, It is just an Air soft gun and bringing it with you shouldn't be a problem.

Kindly advice!

Thank you.
yes, I don't think it should be an issue at US customs. here the customs officers won't understand the difference unless you show it to them, and still will let you go after 45 minutes, and you'll have to pay them too. anyways I hope your friend managed to get it.
