30 year old, missing open sight, still shoots like new one

Yesterday i cleaned and oiled my old AR, she is missing it's open sight, front sight is slightly bent(a few degrees) but the pre installed peep sight was fine.
Today morning, i took chance to check the accuracy of rifle in 10 meters range set up in my backyard, and after 10 shots for setting up the peep sight, the results were good, i also was able to make 1 inch group of 7 shots,
I uses pionted head and round head shots to see the performance, round head performed well as compared to the pointed one, and the spread was more concentrated with the round head
Some pics of my morning setup

I never thought that she will perform that good,I was afraid of using match grade or imported pellets as the sight was not aligned, and i rarely used peep-sight and preferred open sight on this rifle, after missing the tightening screw on the open sight aperture, she was not used for more then 5-6 years, local gunsmiths ware not able to repair it, so last night i thought of trying the peep-sight and used my old stock of Marksman Shot pellets.
Round head had better performance then the pointed head as the target paper shows the wide spread with Pointed Head as compared to the round head
now i can try few imported pellets :D

Hi marksman_dd ,

Which AR is this, seems to have seen many years pass by. Is it a smooth bore?

Hi marksman_dd,

Did you get rear sight for your AR matching the existing grooves.

Not yet, local gunsmiths and gun stores don't have any spare
