Replica Percussion, Matchlock and Flintlock Guns

This past week I visited a manufacturer of replica guns in Udaipur, Rajasthan. Unfortunately, there was a death in his family so I could not meet the owner, but his son did show me around. They seem to be a family owned and run set up manufacturing replicas of percussion, matchlock and flintlock guns. Apparently he has each batch of guns that he produces certified by either the proof houses or the rifle factory in Calcutta, that these are replicas and not serviceable firearms. This is largely to facilitate export of these items as handicrafts.
