Czechoslovakia make 12 bore dbbl shotgun

Post by Goldendeer » Fri May 11, 2007 7:54 pm

Hi, I got a double barrel 12 bore, Made in Czechoslovakia with the markings Special Poldi Elektro on it. It is undamaged ,in excellent working condition and is more than 30 years old.

Was used very rarely and right now collecting dust. So I thought of selling it and reinvesting the money in something more useful.

Can anyone give me advice on how much to expect for it ?

I am not an expert in shotguns but I will give some de.scription if it helps.

It can be easily dismantled into three pieces with the click of a button under the barrel. The barrel when dismantled is about 28 inches long. To open the barrel to load the cartridges there is a small lever on top with a safety catch behind it.

Will try and get a digital photo of it later.

Goldendeer,

Welcome aboard, and when taking pictures of the gun do remember to also take close up pictures of the markings on the gun...

Cheers!

Hi Goldendeer,

Your shotgun sounds a bit similar to what I have. I will put up some pics in a bit and if it is similar then Rs.45,000 to Rs.65,000 is what you should expect for it depending on condition and model.

I am looking for another shotgun and would like to see yours in person as I too am based in Bangalore. Will make you an offer after I see it.

Hi AC,

That's my gun, not Goldendeer's.

BTW, I did not know you had multiple accounts on IFG. Stick to one from now on.

AC/Raks,

I'd like to go a step further than Mack The Knife and ask you which account you'd like to maintain. I have alerted the Administrator and hope that he would step in on this.

Multiple accounts on the forums are nothing but a nuisance and though this is not mentioned on the Code of Conduct, this is definitely not acceptable. I do not see any reason why you need to register under multiple names over here when every other member manages with just one member account. Care to explain this?

Hi Navdeep,

One has to wait for 45 days after putting in one's permission to sell request.

Thanks.

Mack The Knife,

The Arms Act calls it a 'notice to sell' and not 'permission to sell'.The purpose of this notice to the licensing authority or the nearest police station is to enable the authority concerned to verify the antecedents of the dealer/ licensee and whether he/she is entitled to buy the firearm being sold.

Hi Mack The Knife,

Yes it is quite similar to the photo you have posted.

I will let you know sometime later in the week about inspecting it. In the meanwhile I will post pics for others to see.

Actually I am very sentimental about it so it make take a while for me to take a decision to sell.
