From what little I have shot the 32 S&W long, it will easily shoot way beyond that. I and some friends have shot targets till 25m accurately.
So the ten meter range is typically the Govt. safety speak.

Dear members

I spoke to Mr. Ram Singh who work in kanpur as a TL license Agent and helps in all procedure in Kanpur. According to him a new revolver is designed by IOF and its 250 Grams lighter than the present one ( I think it is Titanium Alloy) and its costing about 1.20 Lacks. He said the first revolvers are getting delivered in diwali time. Thats why there is no news of Mark 4 and no photos also available on the website. Well i have booked the regular mark 3 on 3 Sept but there is no news of the collection date.

Dear Shivhare,
Congrats on your booking a mark 3 revolver and hope you will enjoy your revolver for years to come. You talked about Ram Singh and what he told you, please remember Ram Singh is just an agent who charges money for getting TL paper work done and nothing more. He does not know anything about Mark 4/ IOF etc. What he told you was what he read in the DainikJagran newspaper and this piece of news was published about 5 months back when IOF showcased Mark 4 at ARMAPUR which is a colony of IOF employees in Kanpur.
Getting back to Ram Singh i must request you to please check all the documents before appearing in front of the arms clerk for verification cos i had a very bad experience with them as Mr Ram Singh instead of writing my name as pranjal instead wrote pankaj on the application form. I had a tough time explaining to the arms clerk that it is just a mistake and had to endure comments like - aare anpadh hai bechara naam nahi likh paya, chalo sahi kar do(he is illeterate so he couldn't write his name properly, just change it.)
So please take care and enjoy shooting with your revolver.

Thanks,
Pranjal

Dear Pranjal,
Thanks for the info, Well i booked the revolver on 3/9/13 and the dd and the Documents reached at Armapur on 6/9/13. Till date i am unable to track my order and collection date on net.
I contacted the person stated in above post and he said that u ll get it in Jan-Feb and he can arrange in less time for that i have to spend some money. Is he is saying truth? Has he have contacts in IOF?

Shivhare,
Did you tried calling up the factory? In my case I simply got a letter from the factory stating my collection date and nothing was ever updated on the website, so i think you need not worry. I got my letter in some 20 days time after i submitted my draft. My advice to you will be to call up the Factory urself and don't believe in anyone claiming to have contacts to get your work done quickly in exchange for some money.
Regards,
Pranjal
