The section you have pointed out is for grant of license to sports person.

The section which allows a person to keep 3rd weapon as .22 rifle is Chapter III, section 13 (3) (a) (ii) of Arms Act 1959 and there is no mention of two years there.

Yes sir now depends on license authority also what they take into account , rule -36 .2016 in that it is mentioned that you need to show structured learning process now all depends on licensing authority what they consider into account.

To make it simple:
1.One license Book in Navy Blue Colour for Permissable Firearms (NP Bore) up to a maximum of 2 firearms only (earlier it was 3).
Ammunition allowed: 100 at one time 200 per year.
2.Maroon Colour License Book for Restricted Firearms(what was earlier called Prohibited Bore/ PB). Options open for electronic/smartcard type licenses
in future.
3.Additional .22 Rifle for NRAI members remains the same. For NRAI Members, Ammunition Increased for .22 caliber firearms : 500/5000;
for Pistols/Revolver of any other caliber-300/2000, Shotgun-250/5000, any other Rifle- 200/500
4.Increase in number of firearms allowed to Junior Target Shooters and Aspiring Shooters (earlier one was allowed, now increased to two)
5.Increase in number of firearms allowed to Renowned shooters (in Single event- 8, in Second event-10, third event-12) Total not exceeding 14
including 2 as normal licensee.
hi, i'm an aspiring shooter and i have mentioned in many places about my funny lcense whch grants me a 22 rifle with additonal bore 3006( had asked for 2 seperate licenses in my applicaton) but now i couldnt find such a weapon and couldnt import as am not an renowned shooter, when i ask an amendment for two lcenses they say that they cant grant two weapons, so my doubt s that s it at the mercy of the commiiisioner for granting two weapons to an aspiring shooter or is t a rule
