James Lyon had worked for James Purdeys in London. I have seen guns advertised as Purdey and Lyon.

Those are Birmingham proof marks. It's a 12-bore gun. I see rifling in one barrel.

Could you please take the gun into sunlight and take clear pictures and post here?
