Thanks Mundaire,
You know something. before joing this forum that I was under the impression that only the English, American and the Bellgium knew how to make their guns. Was never interested in the IOF types as had almost grown with them. But thanks to you all people I learnt so many things about the other manufacturers. Now I have a pretty descent idea of what I am looking for and am in a hurry
Bye
Jayanta
Spanish shotguns traditionally haven't had a particularly good reputation in Europe... they were always considered lower end guns. The Russian guns on the other hand may not be pretty and are cheap, but they are solidly built work horses.

Of what I have heard from several gun owners, including General's comment above, I am contemplating that the three best are:
German
Russian
Israel
Not sure about the last one though, because the feedback I received on that is from army blokes and some friends who recently shot them in Brazil...

Jayanta ,
In the looks department i wud rate the Baikal & Lanber pretty much equal.
Check out both and then take a call.
The Baikals are out and out game guns but will easily also suffice for Skeet & Trap provided you are just shooting for fun and not competetively.
Cheers Rohit.

The newer models of the Baikal look like any other O/U,personally between the Baikal & Lanber I thought the former appealed more to the eye
Given the prices today for an extensively used Beretta,Perrazi or a Browning, you cant go wrong with a Baikal, they are built to last and can handle some serious loads and abuse in the field.
I have no regrets at all
