Wow. We would love to see the photos of your 8 bores,William, if that is OK to ask. A friend of mine in Wales who is about your age has been after a nice 8 bore for a long time.

Also, there is a SXS punt gun post below this. Check it out.

A true gem indeed! Do you have access to game shooting to be able to use this fine shotgun?

The gun was for auction in the UK where there game is plentiful without bag or bore restrictions. In US, the 8 bore cannot be used to shoot birds.

Hi William,

Many thanks for posting the photos, I just saw them in the post below. Gorgeous looking gun. To find it in such fine fettle is quite heartening actually. Has it been recently refinished? Beautiful gun.

I will look up that Greener on Holt's right away.

Best-
Vikram

The Greener is an absolute stunner.
The details state that the gun has 32" barrels and was supplied new with 32" barrels.
It`s neither a Facil Princeps or an Anson and Deeley action - it`s a Unique Ejector action.

Wonder what will happen to me if I shoot it a cartridge would cost about GBP 30 these days and sure it will throw me off with the recoil.
