The procedure to change the weapon varies from one district to another. So do some research with your district arms branch and then follow the procedure.

In Punjab (specifically in our district) first you will have to take NOC to sell your gun, then sell off the gun and get it deleted from your arms license and then apply for bore change from gun to revolver or pistol. Finally purchase the revolver or pistol and get it entered in the license.
