R.B. Rodda & Co.

My Great Grandfather Richard Burrows Rodda was the name behind R.B. Rodda & Co. of Piccadilly, London, and Calcutta India.
I have an Antique R.B. Rodda &Co. gun - Piccadilly, London Take Down Percussion Pistol #L.t. A 458 -1.
The gun has the date 1815 on the barrel near the trigger, but the ad from the purchaser states the gun was probably made about 1850s and engraved with the R.B. Rodda & Co. Piccadilly, London about the 1850s. Which is possible, as R.B. Rodda & Co. did originate in London according to other articles in this forum and labels that I have showing R.B. Rodda & Co. of Piccadilly, london.
At the present time it is not workable, but all the parts of the gun seem to be in working order.
I am hoping that Shivaji or others may give me more insight into this gun.

Welcome to IFG. It is gratifying to see when a connection to an historical name pops up on this forum. Please share a few clear photos of the pistol. Photos would help in identifying the details. Photos can be uploaded as attachments to your posts.
Also, there is gentleman in the UK who has a connection to the Rodda family, if I remember correctly. He runs the Internet Gun Club forum.

Asking there can yield the type of information you are looking for.
