For start you can go with IOF .22 revolver. If you search on this forum, you will find loads of information on it.

After having bought an Ashani, I would say the IOFB revolver wouldn't be a bad bet.
Three lakhs is a lot for a .22 revolver not in 100% original shape.

Agree IOF pistol/revolver is safer and pragmatic choice
