Hi Everybody,

I am new to this forum. I had recently acquired an Arms License and looking to buy a .32 Revolver. Now , my dealer is suggesting me to buy 2006 prior Mark 1 IOF model. Whereas I am inclined towards buying new IOF models. Can somebody please guide whats the difference between Mark 1 and higher models and which would be better.
TIA
L.A

Thanks for the reply..

But as per Dealer, Mark 1 has its pin attached directly to the hammer, whereas other models have pin springed to the body. And the direct pin hitting the bullet has better impact and lesser chances of misfire.

Hello everyone
I am new to this forum.
Hi Agglucky I would like to suggest you to go for Mark III and above. I had Mark I which i sold out in 2012 and that was having jamming problem of empty shell after fire. Now i have Mark III 0.32 fgk however i have not fire a single shot after purchasing in 2012 but i am sure they have rectified jamming issues in this model. I am also going to sell this my revolver as interested to buy latest model of ordnance pistol 0.32 ashani.
thanks

Hi everyone, I am writing in this forum after a long time. Actually I have 0.32 ordnance revolver since 2003, Although I replaced it in 2012 with new mark III revolver and didn't fired a single shot from it. Now I would like to replace it with new ashani pistol with outside hammer. But I got to know that in uttarpradesh we can not change type of weapon now. Please can anyone confirm if it's true and new rule have been incorporate, else please suggest where I can get right information and best deal for the same.
Thanks

No This info isn't correct. You can't change type i.e. if you have rev/pistol licence then you can't buy rifle or breach loaders etc but you can buy any NPB Rev/Pistol.

Anubhav, does this mean people with a license for pistol in UP can't buy rifles at all, or they need to apply for a separate license for rifles and shotguns?

Hi!
They need to apply separately...And this goes for country, not only UP.

Iam a doctor from tamilnadu.... Recently got licence for revolver.... after 3 months of applying it.. Now getting a weapon is another headache due to lockdown..

In my own town i had a offer for mark 1 iof revolver... fired only 10 shots... for 60 k... But i van purchase a brand new iof mark 4 for 98 k in chennai from aavadi tank factory...

But lockdown is testing my patience...

kindly advice which one to go....
