Hi everyone!
I am new to this forum. I have got a new arms licence, and I wish to buy a .32 revolver, which is small and easy to carry. I would like to hear your expert opinions.

Where is the confusion?
Depending on your budget you could go for an IOF revolver or a smith n wesson or a colt?

Dear Brother,

Go through with the IOF mark 4 Revolver easy to carry good accuracy, light weighted, less recoil and price with the dealer is 1.05 lacs including for all taxes.

Go for IOF manufactured revolver or pistol. As all other imported arms will be old and used. Its very difficult to find well maintained firearm.

The mark 4 revolver is NOT easy to carry and is not lightweight. Cylinders in revolvers make them bulky (therefore difficult to carry) as compared to pistols. Ashani pistol is lot more sleek than revolver.

At around 800 grams its not lightweight (+ weight of cartridges, holster and spare ammo). The nirbheek model (500 grams) is lightweight.

Mark 4 has very heavy trigger pull. So if you are buying mark 4 get its trigger pull done light by a good gunsmith who knows his job. The chrome barrel is very good feature of mark 4. Its lot easier to clean.

Also, here in north India, mark 4 sells for 95k and not 1.05 L.

Hello Mr.Nikhil,
I saw a almost unused Smith & wesson 31-1 as claimed by the dealer , it has the original box and bill, and ammo. But the springs are weak the firing pin & trigger is loose does not come back to original firing position , the dealer is quoting 7.5, is it worth buying it? and do we get original springs?
your views on it please?
Kind Regards,
Karthik

I agree with Vineet here. I have Mk3 and i feel for a conceal carry pistol is a better option.
Besides weight and other factors as explained above in this post , the ammunition quality of pistol is better than revolver ammo.
There is a problem of shells being jammed after fire and gets hard to extract on majority of iof revolvers .
The trigger pull is very hard on majority of revolvers again.
You can keep a spare magazine with a pistol for reloading .
End of the day , i think you should check both of them with your friends. Spend some time with pistol and revolver and learn about conceal carry and safe handling . If possible try to test fire both of them and you will realise the difference.
Decide for yourself then.
