Not available now.
Some news suggests will be available for civilians by the year end. Which is too good to be true.

It is mentioned on the web page of CMT that-

CMT-Glock
CMT-Glock has been proud in serving the nation by providing the state of art, most reliable and safest firearms to Indian Governmental End Users. Glock has been the preferred Service Pistol for more than a decade for End Users and continues to provide impeccable support to the Indian Ministry of Defense (Air Force), Para Military Forces and the State Police Forces by offering all Generations of the Glock Pistols that are in service worldwide.

It simply indicates that they will not be manufacturing / assembling in India the Glock Pistols for the Civilians .. at least as now..

Did you hear this from police? I heard the same during Civilian rifle training programme which is completely false.
All Glock pistols comes with 3 safety features.

Glocks don't have a manual safety that you can find on 1911 et all. They have what's called a drop safety that ensures the gun won't go off if dropped and will fire only when the trigger is pressed. In fact, there's a phrase called Glock-leg, which alludes to people accidentally shooting themselves in the foot while re-holstering their weapon because it has no external safety. Most polymer striker fired guns have the same design principle.
