If you really want to get into the varieties of revolvers, especially double action revolvers, this video:
covers many concepts, design features, and issues of the type.
It is a little over two hours long -- a fairly lengthy video for me, too, but once it got rolling, I watched it end-to-end today and appreciated it very much. I think it is a job well done and highly recommend it if your interests tend in this direction.
