second handgun.

Post by saahil » Mon Oct 20, 2008 10:56 pm

hi to all dear members
good news, i got permission for a second handgun. bad news, i failed to find a competant gun with the price tag of 4L. i have been to delhi and meerut to hunt for a gun but got dissappointed by the stuff shown to me within my range of 4L. in meerut there are many dealers having iof ashani with the manufacturing date of 2007? at the end of the day i decided to go for a new ashani instead of buying a 50 year old junk for 4L. the dealer quoted me 130k for a 2007 model. now i need advice from my fellow members that whether its a reasonable deal as im not willing to wait for nine months for ordnance factory to deliver the baby to me.advice needed.take care.

If you go in for the Ashani and have some regrets on its looks, you can try out these modifications:

I am a little unsure of the 5 year lock period... Strange though :)

Saahil,
Go with a new Ashani,I think it's well worth the wait, with a few modifications from a good smith
it should fire just as well as any of the limited editions.
Am a lilttle surprised though that in your budget you couldnt get a good piece.
Cheers

Delhi must be very expensive !! In my neck of woods , 4L would buy you a nice handgun in excellent condition. I am not talking about a Beretta FS or any similarly expensive firearm. I have my reservations about "ashani" .

Saahil, have patience and look hard you will definitely find what you like.

best,

RP.

PS. Which caliber and brand are you looking for ?
It's always better to have a gun and not need it than need a gun and not have it !
