A friend has an IOF .22, it has major extraction issues with KF .22 LR ammo! You often have to literally take a screwdriver and mallet to hammer them out after firing

Alcohol and firearms, bad combination!

Anyway, were you using KF ammo? Too much smoke!

The thought of an aluminium cylinder makes me shudder, that said there are some tough aluminium alloys, however I'll still shudder

Hi sir, Have got a new license,
Need a small sized.22 or .32 revolver which should be easy to carry and light weighted too.
Was thinking about Nidar but got scared after reading so many negative reviews about Alluminium body ....regarding bursting of cylinder etc. Is it true???
Also it does not have safety lock!!!!!
Please suggest a gun under or around 1 lac.
Please help with genuine feedback on Nidar too

It’s my opinion that please don’t go for iOF revolvers increase ur budget and go for Arminus , Erma or Colt cobra I think that these revolvers are best in budget and perfect replacement for iof revolvers.

I plan to buy the new iof .22 revolver. I read somewhere that earlier the cylinder used to develop some cracks after sometime because of its aluminium body but it comes with a steel tube inside the barrel, that's safe but does it still have that cylinder bursting issue ? And can I fire high velocity rounds so that it doesn't affect the gun or any part of it . And please if there's any pros and cons of the revolver I should know before buying then please let me know . All the senior and experienced shooters in here please guide me .

Regards
Amit

Does the .22 IOF has transfer bar which engages the firing pin?
