Hello Friends ,
I have heard about a semi automatic which is available for civilian.
Can anyone tell me about that rifle?
Can we get a license for that?

The rifle in the video appears to be M1-Garand being fired in semi-automatic nature. I have personally seen many of these semi-auto rifles chambered in 30-06 being licensed as 30-06 NPB. My friend's father had bought one manufactured by Springfield Armory from Green force member (this a personal security force maintained by Sacha Sauda Dera leader: Mr. Ram Rahim Insaan). During my stay in India, I have seen many Green force members selling beautiful guns like Mauser k98k (actually NPB), M1-Garand, .30 cal M1 carbine, .303 Lee Enfield Mk 1 No. 4. These guys seem to have gotten some good pieces.
Other than that, I have randomly seen Colt Govt. 1911 in .45 ACP show up as NPB in few places. It appears that some of these rifles have been wrongly classified as NPB and have been used since as NPB.

There were lot of different Fire Arms provided to Different Civilian Groups During the bloodbath era in Punjab ( Approx 78 to 98). These arms were allotted to civilians to protect themselves from Extremist Outfits.
Till date many of the Families retain these weapons as they claim that they have a Threat on their Lives due to their protest against the Extremist Groups.
I Saw Tokarev in 9mm
Colt in 38.
M1 in 30-06 ( Not sure its Semi auto or Not as not seen it in Firing condition)
Mouser c96 with Shoulder Stock and others During my working in Punjab.
Simply Semi auto in a normal Process for Civilian AL a Straight No no at present time.

Hi,
"semi auto rifle-NOT ALLOWED. PB.
semi auto gun -NPB AND ALLOWED.
semi auto rifle ONLY .22 rim fire- NPB AND ALLOWED."
Citation please!!! Want to show it to the authorities here. They seem to have a blanket ban here on semi automatics.

Just read Schedule I of the Arms Rules 2016, it is mentioned there in black & white.
