Operator: congratulations! I am anxious to see your find!

Remington did make lightweight and mountain versions of the 700, some with a different designation. I'll wait for your pictures.

Again, congratuations!
Thank you Timmy , yes can’t wait to take it to the range when I get back home and also share pictures . Would love to get insights about the model that I got.

Just went through a cnbc article of 2022 which says model 721 does have the accidental discharge problem including the model 700 and some other models so so get the rifle checked and rectified if any problem is found
Yes it was scary touching any remingtons after what you see online but then how is it that they sold millions of rifles and a good friend of mine also has 700 and he says no such problem if you keep the weapon in the condition it’s supposed to be in . But appreciate your concern and feed back .

Also found a video countering the allegations of cnbc , do give it a watch.
Thank you

That is one very nice looking rifle, Operator! Such a piece will support plenty of exciting hunting, or many hours of pleasant time at the range -- or both! Anyone would be proud to carry such a rifle in either place.

Thanks for sharing the pic!

Thank you so much , I have fallen in love with it already . So after a lot of research came to know that this is a pre 64 rifle that’s why it has a 20 inch barrel and hence the small barrel . This is also one of the few models they did the fleur de lys custom checkering on.
Kind of a heirloom piece .
