My daughter and I recently returned home after a visit with Oleg in Tennessee. He was kind enough to let us shoot some of his extensive collection of guns. He took us out to a friend's farm and we were able to try out a wide array of handgun, shotguns and rifles.
Here are some of them:
Keltec SU22 with suppressor
Remington 870 with a
Knoxx stock
S&W in .44 Special
1911 type in .45ACP
1911 again
H&K P7 (squeeze cocker)
A Smith in .44 Magnum
The Coonan .357 Magnum auto pistol
An AR type in .45 ACP
A keltec P3AT in .380 ACP
A Glock 19 with suppressor
Photo by Oleg; The rifle version of the PMR30 (.22 Magnum)
Photo by Oleg: A Remington 1100 semi in 20 Ga.
Photo by Oleg: A Remington 870 setup for home defense. Extended mag tube, laser and flashlight.
Photo by Oleg: An M1Garand (note cartridge and en-bloc clip being ejected)

Nice pics XL and great collection of guns as well. You guys in the US are so blessed when it comes to guns. I have fond memories of ranges and gun collections of my friends of the 5 yrs i spent in florida as a student. The craziest was a .50 cal and shooting through manhole covers. My buddy used to bet it could shoot through an engine block. Though i have my doubts and we never did try that but indeed the gun packed some scary punch. We would like to see the targets and ur groups as well..Cheers ..

That would be me
captrakshitsharma,
We weren't shooting for groups we were just blasting clay pigeons placed on the berm. We did use paper to register and zero some of the firearms that had optical sights recently placed on them but that's it.
Never shot a .50 though I do have some linked .50 ammo at home.
photo by Oleg: Here is one of the new Ruger LC9's. Surprisingly low recoil for a such a small gun.
6+1 in the chamber. The mag said 7 but we could not get 7 in the mag even with an
Uplula.
Thanks all. I hope you enjoyed the photos.

And I was considering my daughter in place of yours'...
Don't you think she is a bit young for that...?
May be, the weapons she is handling there, are far more dreadful than what we can imagine at her age...or than what any of us, dreadful owner issss!!!
Nice pics, anyway. I envy U people..

Well, she is 22 years old and within one semester of graduating from College with her Bachelors degree. I don't think that is too young to learn life's lessons.
She has lived away from home (even though it is not very far away) since she turned 18. She has had a drivers license and a job since she was 16 and she has had a license to carry a pistol since she turned 21.
She works and goes to school full time and is on the honor roll. She pays all her own bills, including her tuition at college, her grocery bills and her rent.
However, she is going to have to go out into the wider world soon and if she moves to another locality, I won't be able to go running to the rescue.
The weapons that she is handling are just tools, there is nothing terrible or dreadful about them as they are inanimate objects and are unable to do anything by themselves. Just as when I lay a hammer down on my workbench and I don't expect it to jump up by itself and start hammering nails, I don't expect a firearm to do much by itself. It is the human being holding it that decides what to do with it.
It is what certain people do with those tools that can be dreadful; be it a knife, an axe, an automobile or a firearm or political power.
It is my duty to see that she can handle those tools safely and with authority so she can protect herself and, someday, her own family. I would be terribly remiss as a parent if I let her go into a world where these tools are commonplace and not teach her to use them properly. Both my wife and I have tried to teach her to be open minded, self reliant, honest and hard working. Relying on the goodwill of others to protect her is nowhere in our plans.
ajayplahane, this is not specifically in response to your post. These are my feelings in general.

Nice pics, xl_target. I do agree with you. My daughter will turn 6 by end of this month and she is already handling her Ruger 10/22 really well. I am all for girl power.

Just let me know a few weeks in advance Drifter and I will try to make some arrangements so you can try out a variety of firearms.
You might also consider only May through August as they are the warmer months.
