puru baruah wrote:forgot to mention :D ..the weapon comes in with the usual 15round mag and a 30round ..the trigger mechanism is surprisingly softer than the glock 17 .. with the conversion kit the automatic fire is very much stable..though there is one negative effect with the kit is since the weapon comes too close to the ears, while on fire it makes ear deafening sound ,which is very harmful for the ears unless you are putting on ear muffs..
I shot about 300 rounds from the Glock 17 one hot summer afternoon, and I couldn't wear a muffler because of the heat... (It was uncomfortable)... So I shot them bare eared... I almost went deaf... But it sure was sweet Noise..
Not sure if it was the IOF ammo, and if "foreign" made bullets are better noise wise..

Great Handgun... Though It looks like a toy in comparison to a 1911..

PS: Also the ammo did misfire every 15 or so shots... and I have seen youtube videos where they shot the Glock more than a 1000 rounds without a single misfire.. Not sure why we can't even make reliable bullets...

i too had problems with the IOF ammo out of 150 rounds i fired ,35 rounds misfired..and i didnt have any problem with the sound without the conversion kit,but with the conversion kit on ,the sound was unbareable

Puru,
Thanks again for the photos and if you are in the armed forces, thank you for your service to the country.

I notice that in those photos, you did not have any kind of hearing protection. Shooting firearms without hearing protection is not a good idea. I can't imagine the racket in that confined space. Even a suppressed 9mm is too loud and requires us to wear hearing protection
If someday you want to hear the voices of your grandchildren, please use hearing protection. If you don't want to wear muffs, at least wear ear plugs. :D

The misconception is that you can get your ears acclimatized to loud sounds. This is not true, the damage caused by gunshots is cumulative, every shot will make it worse.
The more you are exposed to loud sounds, the worse your hearing will eventually become. Once your hearing is damaged, the damage cannot be repaired and you would then need hearing aids.
“Never give in, never give in, never; never; never; never – in nothing, great or small, large or petty – never give in except to convictions of honor and good sense” — Winston Churchill, Oct 29, 1941

The latest pics have surely leveled up the awesomeness!!
So many times, it happens too fast
You trade your passion for glory
Don't lose your grip on the dreams of the past
You must fight just to keep them alive

It's the eye of the tiger
It's the thrill of the fight
Risin' up to the challenge
Of our rival
And the last known survivor
Stalks his prey in the night
And he's watching us all with the
Eye of the tiger

And I agree, though being in armed forces, there would be hardly any chance when you would be wearing ear protection while using them, but in a range you can wear.

BTW, are protection gear available in Army?

And in which wing are you? Which scheme?
You dont have to kill me for this info :P
