Ottoman Empire Weapons Collection

Post by najeeb_khan » Wed Mar 19, 2014 8:00 pm

Dear Friends,

I found these pictures of Ottoman Empire weapons collection in a Turkish Museum from a http://www.pakguns.com/forum.php forum and found very interesting. So I thought of posting it here to share with others.

Some pictures need to be described under a title, but some pictures have self description below the weapon so don't need to be described.

Some of these weapons were Turkish manufactured, while other weapons were manufactured in different countries.

There are many pictures which cannot be posted here at the same time, so I will start to post few pictures at a time.

I hope all of you like the weapons....

1. Self Loading Pistol, German Model 1896

2. Ten Barrelled Pin Fire Pistol, German (Reform), Model 1911

3. Four Barrelled Pin Fire Pistol German (Reform), Model 1911

4. Two Barrelled Pistol, German, 20th Century

5. Pocket Pistol, French, End of 19th Century

Hello Ashok,

You are exactly right, it's a bergman pistol, No2/1896

Image

Caliber: 5mm Bergmann
Bullet Weight: 35 grains
Muzzle Velocity: 580 fps (177 m/s)
Clip Capacity: 5 rounds
Overall Length: 11 in (280mm)
Barrel Length: varies, typically 3-3.5 in (75-90mm)
Weight: 36.3 oz (1.03kg)
Action: Straight blowback

Yes, seventh is Apache revolver, Dolne manufactured both 5mm and 7mm pinfire pistol

I am able to see the full picture, need to ask others, if they are also not able to see the pictures correctly.
