Excellent write up as always; it gives a real insight of the hunt, felt like I was there, You have done what I had done welcoming 2011 ( axis deer, still waiting for the hide, its with the taxidermist); every informative for the new hunters; looks like a velvet trophy?? are you getting it mounted? what happened to the meat?

it was in hard velvet. getting shoulder mounted. ate the meat.
