Vidhu,

I also can't find steel as per the specifications required. Therefore some of our members who are connected with this business are able to get what they actually want. It is not for us mere mortals.
I think you are doing a good job with old files. I would suggest you continue with it, over time your finishing will also improve and will have a workable set of knives.

Yup, will be playing along with the files available in the market, now will look for the farrier rasp, as it's about 2 inches wide so it will give more geometry to carve proper blade.

If you can put on a 'Camel Bone' handle ....it should turn out to be a beauty :D
Good Luck!

Nice work Ramborider.
I was also looking around for cheap belt grinder though it is available online for around 5k. had put off till i can find some place where i can source good steel.
Some learn by reading. A few by observation. The rest of 'em have to pee on the electric fence.

glad you like anandnair and marksman sir,as that time i had that 3 phase induction motor.some salvage motors options...washing machine motors in which front loading machine has carbon brush (universal motor)motor as its speed is very high (no load13000rpm),manual and semi automatic machines motors could be use for belt grinder, they are induction motors.i have one front loading machine motor, planing to do some use of it,its speed is 13000rpm(300W).
