Dear Jonah,
Your knife is very impressive.
I was given some spring steel (scrap) from some German machinery for making a knife. Wonder if you would like to use it. Its really good. I tried making a knife and it could be literally shapened to razor levels.
PM me your address if you want it.
Regards

Dear MODS...
If the IFG name cannot be loaned on this, then could we have something like the ID and No. put?
My only point is that this should be something a bit more unique than what is otherwise available :)

If it is not going to have the IFG name on it then the knife is open for branding - something like Naga Bowie will be nice. ;-)

snIPer, can we have it more in line with IFG?
'If' IFG name is not permitted, we can have our IFG - ID with serial number...

I guess the Mods will have to answer that question.

Yep its commemorative knife, so even if the IFG name isn't on it, the ID serial number along with the date would suffice. Just my 25 paise :)

With or without the red card alongside?

Buy the bloody thing and have whatever you want engraved (barring the site name, abbreviation or logo) on it and be done with it.

Easier said than done... everyone ordering the blade and getting it engraved in their own fashion would not really be akin to an 'IFG' or 'Forum' blade. It will be best of the person who makes it puts this in -- Originality chief...

Anyway, I take it that your opinion on lending IFG name to the blade is negative.

Guys, can we go along with "Callsign" + "Number"?

I like this suggestion and Jonah will be happy to oblige too. Lets leave IFG babus out of it ;)

How about lazer engraving "Mizo Bowie XXXX". Jonah can decide what number to send to who, maybe depending on the sequence of orders placed. Haven't heard about the price yet.

EDIT : Sorry, edited to Mizo (not Naga). Got the noreasters confused :)

Hello guys sorry for the delayed response to this thread... I really appreciate your interest and enthu..

The knife is officially open to booking as of now and will be branded as "Mizo Bowie" The brand name and other embellishments etc. will be electro chemically etched (sorry I cant afford the laser machine, maybe after a few 1000 orders  ) Orders will be taken in batches of 20.

As an incentive, the first 20 orders will be allowed to add any kind of personalisation in terms of logo, name, call sign, handle etc. provided it does not contain more than 12 letters.

Please PM me for other details

Jonah

As an after thought...

I would still like to donate a percentage of sales of the Mizo Bowie to IFG.
