The above list is for import by an arms dealer. It does not apply to an individual bringing in ammo on his license.

Correct.

Is there any restriction regarding calibres as far as imports by individuals are concerned?

In case the individual is allowed to purchase 10 cartridges at a time and 25 per year, can they bring in 50 cartridges on return from abroad?

Regards.

You can bring 50 cartridges of whatever caliber that is endorsed on your arms license, provided the license allows you to possess 50 cartridges at a time. If your license allows less than 50 cartridges to be possessed at a time, then please get that increased to 50 cartridges or more.

verrrrrrrrrrrrrrry hard to find, nigh of impossible for the 38 supper, may be for 357 a little hard as one has to hunt for it. no one dealer will have all in stock.

Eley now only manufacture Shotgun and .22 ammo.

In India, mostly centre fire rifle ammo manufactured by Sellier & Bellot is available.

Hi friends

After reading the above posts from you Can I assume that I can bring back ammunition upto 50 rounds without hassles as long as I declare it at the customs RED channel and get it endorsed on my license???? I need 0.30 carbine ammunition which is not available anywhere and the last price I heard was around Rs.400-500 per round which is VERY expensive. Can someone also tell me the rate of Duty??? IS this duty based on the bill issued by the overseas seller?

In my licence there is limit of 25/50...
How much ammo I can bring???
What duty we have to pay ???
Still I dint buy a weapon but thinking for .357 magnum revolver, but if I can bring ammo from abroad then only I'll go for it.
