Sight Modification on IOF .22 Rifle

Post by PRITAM PATEL » Fri Nov 26, 2010 12:14 pm

Hi,

I am not comfortable(aesthetically) with the OEM fitted sights on IOF .22 Cal Rifle.

Was wondering if some one can advise me How to improve or install new sights ( make plz i.e. Williams fireshight part no. ) Front sight must have Hood protector, standard hood is likely to jump off easily in routine course

At present I m using see through Mount with Lapears 6 x 30 AO witch is set at 75 yds,

My intentions is to use open sights for closer ranges < 75 yds

Comments and suggestions are welcome

Regards

Pritam

Hello there,

I was supposed to be bombarded with suggestions and comments

Any way I have decided to replace OEM sights with Williams firesight ( supposed to be use with Ruger 10/22) with required modifications....

Sights are on way, will post the pics after I am finished with the project
till then ...

Why don't you pm Mack The Knife? I believe he replaced the front sights of his .22 with Weirauch ones
