Hey Guys

I got a friends air rifle with me....its an old chinese rifle...branded 'hesble' thats wats written on the barrel..... while shootin, something flew from the rifle..on inspecting it i realised .... the metal part below the barrel is missing...

wanted ur opinion on the same and wanted to know wat can be done...the rifle can be cocked n fired...but not sure if its safe ...

The pic is poor but it looks like the locking latch is broken or missing.

I would stop using this rifle until the problem has been sorted out.

In the first pic, it looks like the part below the latch enclosure is broken or corroded away. Is it? Maybe thats why it popped out.

Looking at the corresponding part on the action, the latch appears to be the wedge type. Most of the local armouries will be able to find a replacement for that. Provided there's no damage to the enclosure.
