I had as previously mentioned been given a crosman 101 pellgun by someone in a bag ( basket case)
subsequently I bought a lathe machine and maybe the largest personal hobby shop in the state and learned airgunsmithing at home, the recent advent of broadband has of course helped a lot in the recent years.
The gun given to me was a crosman pellgun the first production model before it was named 101 produced about in 1929 from the best of my knowlege gained from the crosman site.
The most difficult part of any multipump to get is the pump head seal , I always take the part out and replace it with a piston head made of ptfe which receives an O ring so that it is easy to replace , this lasts about a year under normal use but thats good enough.
the next part made was the inlet valve which in this case was an old tap washer holder turned down into a short stem valve.
The exhaust stem valve was made of ptfe turned into appropriate shape on a lathe.
The rear aperture site was made of cut peices of maruti wiper blade welded at 90 degrees and then a petromax jet put in the horizontal arm for the aperture.
Front sight made of a peice of shapered steel which i had got done 1 foot long and then keep cutting pieces and then drilling barel size holes n and apply as needed.
After all this it gives me the following fps
g smith 475
united shot double head 588
master triple head 555
ne regular wt 663

What can I say to this but WOW! A commendable restoration made doubly praiseworthy through the usual lack of parts and support that one faces in India! By your velocity figures I assume that you have a chrono handy? Have you also gotten around to testing the various pellets for velocity spread? I'd rate that figure a lot higher than absolute maximum velocity/ energy figures as that's what would determine accuracy - right?
You have a real collectors piece there, hang on to it!
