You can never trust glue or something similar when there could be a risk of loosing your eyes if the glue fails. Rest your call.
Nah, I have used JB weld and Araldite for quite a few high pressure/recoil use. Once it was the crank case of a mahindra mm540 which had cracked , miles from anywhere... fine job. JB Weld especially, is not your run of the mill stuff. Will hold an air rifle scope mount/rail to receiver. Both areas have to be roughened, cleaned of all oil with acetone and some people prefer to use a butane lighter to heat the parts.Works great without application of heat too.

HI Thomas T
Why dont you get some advice from Brihacharan about using Araldite or JB weld to BED your air rifle stock? it will stop being loose and rattly. And B is quite an air rifle expert.
Instead of Iron or aluminum powder as flocking , try plain talcum or baking soda to thicken up the araldite. works a treat.

hi eljefe,
nice thought there, especially on the bedding. I should say the M200 has got a sucker as stock. i will build or get a new one, and then think about this.
the aluminium filing is like magic powder to jb weld, i should try the talcum and araldite combo somtime soon.. :D

and have you guys felt sometimes, when you hear some crazy combinations, your hands itch to break something and then fix, its a good feell... :D

Thomas

baking powder + araldite is very creamy, does an equally good job. dont break and fix, just get some kiwi neutral polish besides the other two mentioned and you bed your air rifle in 48hrs

Thomas -STOP!
kiwi neutral polish is to coat the metal! it is a release agent.
The fevicol and baking powder is the bedding agent.
How much? 2 oz is enough for a centrefire rifle
how to mix? mix the 2 part araldite first, then add baking or talcum powder slowly and keep mixing until mix is homogenous.
suggest you google a bit about 'glass bedding a rifle'
THEN do a trial run on a waste/scrap piece of tube and wood.
then come back and post your doubts.
Good luck-once you get the hang of it, its a 30 min job
