where can i buy a pullthrough to clean my .177 fixed barrel air rifles and at what cost etc.

Make one out of 40 or 50 lbs. monofilament fishing line.

I am making do with the fishing line until I can get another of those Anschutz pull-throughs.

hi mack how sure can one be abt patches not getting stuck in the barrel with a mono filament-also what knots due you use.the website youve mentioned doesnt clearly mention whether this pullthrough can fit inside a .177 cal airrifle

You can also cut the cotton part of a earbud, dip it lightly in the correct oil and shoot it out down range. Follow the oiled one with a few dry ones. Did not believe it worked till I tried it out. I did use Mack's technique for a long time.

Do NOT ever do that on a spring-piston or gasram air-rifle. EVER! You will cause a dry fire that will ruin your main spring or piston seal or both.

Also, be very careful of the type of oil being used because if it gets into the transfer port of a PCP or single/multi stroke pneumatic it could cause a detonation and you will end up with a dirty bore and possible damage to the valve or regulator mechanism.

I will bet you a thousand bucks that you are not cleaning the bore as well as you think.

Stay away from ear buds and wads of cotton shoved into the bore.

I used this method once for my lp 10. The oil was pellgun oil. Wouldn't use it for a springer or gas ram variants. The OP if I am not mistaken has a pcp match rifle.
Would prefer a crown saver, pull through though. The above method has also been written about in target talk. Agree that the bore may not have been as well cleaned as I dreamt about. .
