What would be right sized cleaning patches for the following calibre's

1). 22LR

2) .25 ACP

3).32ACP

4).357 Mag

5)30-06

6)12ga shotgun

In this case,I have found that bigger is not better

22-26 caliber 1 1/8"
27-35 caliber 1 3/4"
35-45 caliber 2 1/4"
12-16 ga 3"

All square, I don't know what round ones are as I don't fancy cutting them!

Also, you probably have quantities of cheap cotton cloth there. We don't here, and what I do is use the heavy-duty paper towels they sell in the hardware stores.

Mark,

Thanks a lot.The reason I asked was because recently I got a patch stuck in my fathers .25 pistol.Had a tough time getting it out. What we get here are rolls of flannel coth with red lines marking where it can be torn.I generally use cotton rags.I have found that khadi makes the best gun cleaning cloth. I leave it to Mehul to explain the irony of it

Excellent info, Mark.

Jotting it down and sticking it in my gun cabinet.

penpusher, I cut up old cotton t-shirts and shorts when I run out of the rolls.
