Dear IFG members,
A big hello to you all. You guys are doing a wonderful job in this forum, educating, motivating and helping people of common interest........love of guns.
To Introduce myself I am 34 years old guy living in Delhi and have fascination for guns. I belong to family of gun lovers and my grandfather and his forefathers were zamindars/ landlords, thus they all used to have lot of guns, db sxs, rifles etc, most of it was deposited post independence. My grandfather imported an Isaac Hollis & Sons, London (Eclipse model) double barrel, side by side in 1948, which was inherited by my father who still has it, it is a shiny, elegant and in use gun, fascinated me since childhood. Isaac Hollis (Eclipse) that we have is truly a gentlemen weapon, I have seen it fired by my grand father and father, elegant.
My father also used to have Webley & Scott Mark IV (mk 4 if I remember correctly) for a long time, it was a good revolver. Prior to that he used to have a colt pistol (5 round, pocket type) but was not good as it used to have misfires and bullet used to get stuck in the magazine, that is why he got rid of it.
Friends, currently I do not have an arms license and I accept after getting motivated by you and your forum I am planning to get one asap and buy an IOF .32 revolver asap after I get the license. Soon after applying for license from UP (my native place) I will contact you for tips. Until then I am an avid reader of your posts.
Thank you for the inspiration.
